Trevor Ludlow is largely a self-taught artist, having dabbled in sculpture, drawing and photography in his youth. A chance encounter with a box of ancient, dried-up oil paints in his mid twenties led to an interest in painting, and a fascination with depicting a dream-like quality in the mundane, utilising colour, shadows, and trying to capture the ‘wow’ factor of moments in the day where you think ‘That really is something, isn’t it?’

Trevor’s paintings are naïve-yet-sophisticated, understated-yet-commanding and abstract-yet-representational. He has amassed quite a large portfolio over the last few years, and has sold pieces to private collectors throughout Australia and overseas. His first solo exhibition was held in July 2021 and he continues to make art at his home in Melbourne.
